We are a team of five electrical engineers working along side Texas Instruments for our senior design project. This blog will bring you behind the scenes look into the circuit board printer by the engineers who developed it. We initially started the project early March of 2015.
The goal of this project is to be able to print a simple circuit board using an existing model of the Pruisa i3V 3D printer which is available at Makerfarm. The project was divided into two teams: Team CIRC3D and Team XTRUDER. CIRC3D comprised of five electrical engineering seniors at University of Texas at Dallas. Team CIRC3D was assigned the tasks of developing the boosterpack with additional functionality as well as developing the dual extruder capable of extruding dual materials.
Currently, the hardware portion of the project has been completed at the end of the first semester and further details will be posted soon. Please stay tuned. We look forward to sharing some exciting developments with you..
